CENTER VALLEY, Pa., June 26, 2014 — Olympus Imaging America Inc. launches today the Anywhere Classroom video series, an online photography class hosted by members of the Olympus Visionary program that inspires anyone from snap shooters to working professionals to enhance their photo skills using the Olympus OM-D® family and lens system. In season one, now available at www.getolympus.com/anywhereclassroom, National Geographic and Olympus Visionary photographer Jay Dickman takes viewers on location in Colorado to share his outdoor photography expertise. 

In the three Anywhere Classroom season one videos, Jay adventures through the majestic scenery just outside of Gunnison, Colorado, the “Base Camp of the Rocky Mountains,” with the award-winning OM-D E-M1. During each of the approximately five-minute videos, Jay shares his insights on topics, including nature, wildlife and landscape photography, offering tips on watching for the best light, composition and choosing the right lens. 

“Olympus developed the Anywhere Classroom as a compelling way for photographers at all levels to learn from the professionals and enthusiasts who make up our Olympus Visionary program,” said Stephanie Sherry, Director, Marketing Communications, Olympus Imaging America Inc. “There’s no better way to kick off this series than with celebrated photographer, instructor and longtime Olympus Visionary, Jay Dickman. In season two, set for release in fall 2014, Olympus Trailblazer Alex McClure will share his expertise on light painting and shooting at night, and in season three, Pulitzer Prize‒winning photojournalist and Olympus Visionary, Larry Price will cover topics ranging from portraiture to photojournalism.

COPENHAGEN, May 16, 2012 — Phase One is launching a series of one-of-a-kind online events entitled “Phase One Live; Your Inspiration Stream.” Hosted by Phase One and some of the world’s leading photographers, each event will showcase a specific photography project — tracking each step in that project’s workflow from conception through completion. The premiere event on May 23 features award winning British landscape photographer, Joe Cornish.

COPENHAGEN/NEW YORK, February 23, 2011 — Phase One, the world’s leading pro photography equipment provider, has announced its first two Phase One Digital Artist Series (PODAS) workshops for 2011. These workshops are intensive learning experiences for photographers who want to experience the very best image quality possible. Workshops feature high quality, low student-to-instructor ratios, all-inclusive accommodations, and the personal use of a 60.5 megapixel P65+ medium format digital camera, plus access to a range of lenses, for the duration of the workshop. Participants will have the opportunity to test and sharpen their landscape shooting skills in some of the world’s most beautiful natural locations. They will also expand their knowledge with the help of highly trained technical staff and world-renowned landscape photographers to aid and inspire them.

Designed for serious photographers who want an exciting and rewarding challenge, PODAS workshops are in a class by themselves.

The first PODAS workshop will be held April 3-8 in Death Valley. Instructors are Guy Mancuso, Tim Wolcott, and Jeff Schewe. Class is limited to 25 participants. Cost is USD 5,200.00.

The second PODAS workshop will be held in Southwestern Ireland May 16-21 Instructors include Peter Cox, Steve Gosling, and Mark Dubovoy. Class is limited to 25 participants. Cost is USD 5.500.00.
